As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will make routine rounds, maintain a high-visibility presence, monitor access points, and respond to alarms and incidents, helping to reduce security-related concerns for patients, visitors, and staff. You will document activity, support a welcoming experience, and communicate clearly with clinical teams. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • At least 6months-1year of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Must have updated vaccinations for covid vaccine and flu shot is required to work at medical-field.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
  • Have CPR certification, preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating communication with site leadership and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and document access control activity per site procedures.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate observations and service needs to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
