As an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support shoppers and store teams with professional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, observe activity, document concerns, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, suspected shoplifting, medical situations, and property damage.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, receiving docks, and exterior perimeter areas to help to deter theft and other unwanted activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, and assist with access control by observing for suspicious behavior and reporting concerns according to post orders.
Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate issues to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support loss prevention and closing or opening procedures as assigned.
