As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading healthcare location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and respectful service. You will respond to security-related concerns, document activity, and partner with site teams while living Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid may be completed post hire and is preferred.
  • CPR certification may be completed post hire and is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes as applicable.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing traffic flow, verifying credentials when directed, and reporting irregular activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate clearly with onsite teams and/or dispatch, and support security-related operations during medical emergencies, visitor issues, and other time-sensitive events.
