As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols across assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to service calls with clear communication and professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team while supporting a caring culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license from the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor and vehicle activity in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and follow established escalation protocols.
