At a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control by checking credentials, verifying TWIC where required, and keeping accurate visitor and delivery logs. Provide a visible presence, perform routine patrols, and communicate concerns to help identify and reduce security-related issues. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• A Transportation Security Administration issued TWIC card is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at gates, entrances, and/or loading areas by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing drivers, employees, and vendors to proper check-in locations.
• Monitor and respond to alarms, radio traffic, and/or CCTV activity; report irregular conditions and document incidents according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
