As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations and/or concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Monitor access points and manage visitor check-in and/or badge verification as directed by site policy, helping to control entry to restricted areas while supporting a professional, welcoming environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical facility emergency codes, de-escalation support, and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter, watching for suspicious activity, unsecured doors, hazards, and policy concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activity in written reports and electronic systems, helping maintain accurate records while supporting privacy and confidentiality requirements.
