As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a tech and telecom location, you will manage access control, greet visitors and staff, verify credentials, and support badge and entry procedures. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while documenting activity and communicating clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working a primarily driving post is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Control access at assigned entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, access control systems, and related communications; document unusual activity and notify appropriate personnel per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, completing incident reports, and supporting on-site response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, loading docks, and perimeter gates to help to deter unauthorized access and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
