As an Allied Universal Officer supporting access control at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials such as TWIC, greet visitors and contractors, and communicate clearly with site teams. You will stay visible, document security-related activity, and assist with routine patrols to help reduce incidents. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges, managing visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Conduct vehicle and pedestrian screening as required, including verifying delivery documentation, checking authorization for restricted areas, and coordinating entry with site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting site response teams as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns for reporting.
