You will check credentials and badges, support visitor check-in, monitor cameras and alarm panels, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Monitor access points and control entry by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to the proper areas.
  • Screen deliveries and incoming items in accordance with site procedures, coordinate with onsite contacts for entry approvals, and report irregularities to supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, galleries and/or exhibit areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, fire, and/or access concerns.
