Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, where you will help manage access control and badge verification, monitor alarm panels, and complete routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence, using a computer and/or tablet to document activity and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and telecommunications location.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, verifying approvals, and maintaining visitor and vendor logs per post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and report irregular activity to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, fire alarms, and other facility notifications as directed by post orders.
  • Complete required reports such as shift activity, incident reports, and access control records, and communicate updates during shift turnovers to support consistent security-related coverage.
