As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will greet team members and guests, manage entry points, verify credentials, and support traffic flow while staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to questions and concerns with strong customer service, and communicate clearly with store leadership and Allied Universal teammates. This post requires a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
• Control access at designated entrances and employee areas by verifying identification, managing guest check-in, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
• Monitor customer and associate flow near store entrances, back-of-house doors, and loading or delivery areas, and report irregular activity to site leadership and/or local authorities as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with incident documentation and communicating updates to supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas around the retail space and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
