Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and exceptional customer service. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Experience with customer service is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Monitor access to the building, verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of visitor activity and any security-related incidents.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities when appropriate.
Answer questions, provide directions, and offer assistance to students, staff, and visitors, supporting a welcoming environment at the location.
