As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading education location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, check in visitors, issue badges, and monitor lobby activity. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities for an education location.
• Greet, screen, and process visitors, students, faculty, and staff using visitor management procedures, identification verification, and access control measures to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and building communications from the front desk, document activity in required logs, and notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and requesting additional support through Allied Universal and/or site resources.
• Answer phones and radios, provide directions and general assistance, and coordinate service requests and incident reports according to site protocols.
