As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will welcome staff, patients, and visitors while supporting security-related operations through access control, badge and visitor check-in, and clear communication with site teams. You will stay visible at the entry point, document activity, help to identify concerns early, and respond professionally to requests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, students, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Operate the front desk access control process by greeting and screening visitors, managing sign-in and/or sign-out, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, document routine activity, and report maintenance or system issues through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to onsite leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, maintain required logs, and communicate noteworthy activity during shift handoff to help support consistent site operations.
