As a Front Desk Officer at a busy retail location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, monitoring cameras and alarms, answering questions, and reporting security-related concerns. You will support shoppers and tenants with clear communication, quick documentation, and calm response during incidents. Requirements

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or security license preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a retail and mall location.
  • Control access by greeting and directing visitors, verifying credentials as required, and coordinating visitor check-in and/or badge distribution per site policy.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity and completing required documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services.
  • Communicate clearly with store management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership, maintaining logs, incident reports, and other required records per site requirements.
