As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact at a professional office location, helping manage visitor check-in, access control, and phone and/or radio communications. You will monitor cameras and alarm activity, document security-related events, and support employees and guests with a customer-first approach. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies.
  • Monitor the front desk area, observe activity in and around the lobby, and report suspicious activity to help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Manage visitor processing tasks such as sign-in and/or sign-out, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining accurate logs and reports.
  • Support emergency response activities from the front desk post, including communicating instructions and/or updates per site procedures.
