As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, use computer and/or tablet tools as needed, and communicate clearly with site contacts and/or responders while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
Have CPR certification preferred.
Have customer service experience preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor logs.
Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report irregularities and coordinate response using radio and/or phone communications.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and medical emergencies, and request additional assistance as needed.
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
Perform interior and exterior checks for unsecured doors, damaged property, and policy violations, and notify site contacts of conditions requiring attention.
Provide escort duties for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or contractors as directed by post orders.
Support controlled movement of people and vehicles in restricted areas by following post orders, maintaining situational awareness, and communicating observed issues to site leadership.
Participate in briefings, comply with licensing and training requirements, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on post.
