About The Position

As a Security Officer - Federal Patrol Driver in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This is a driving post, so you will use your valid driver’s license to move between areas, check doors and gates, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access control, and security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical or behavioral disturbances, fire or alarm activations, and requests for assistance from staff and visitors.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and assist with directions and information while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership, dispatch, and/or emergency responders as needed.
