Join Allied Universal at a utilities location as an Access Control Officer, where you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry and exit points, and support visitor logs and badge activity. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine rounds as needed, report security-related concerns, and deliver customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, issuing and/or collecting badges and visitor passes, verifying authorization, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
• Screen and direct visitors, vendors, and deliveries to the appropriate destinations while following vehicle and package inspection procedures as required by site policy.
• Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels; document unusual activity and report concerns through the proper channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, substations, and perimeter areas as assigned.
