As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access control by greeting visitors, verifying identification, issuing badges, and documenting entries using a computer and/or tablet. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. Bring a customer-service mindset as you support operations with teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable approach.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, and directing traffic flow to appropriate docks, yards, and offices.
  • Monitor and document inbound and outbound activity including trucks, trailers, deliveries, and driver check-in using logs and/or access control systems.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting hazards and reporting concerns per site procedures.
