As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting access control at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry logs, and monitor gates and checkpoints for security-related concerns. You will complete routine patrols, document activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts to help to deter incidents. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, checking authorization for entry, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs per site requirements.
  • Coordinate with site operations and Allied Universal leadership to support badging, visitor processing, and delivery check-in procedures, including directing individuals to proper muster and/or check-in locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including exterior perimeter routes when directed, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations through required reporting channels.
