As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will manage access control, greet patients and visitors, verify credentials, and support staff at key entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond calmly to situations that may require guiding and/or restraining individuals. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
  • The ability to restrain individuals is required for this hospital site.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, directing visitors to appropriate destinations, and documenting entries and exits per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, access control systems, and CCTV when assigned, and report unusual activity or policy violations through the established communication and reporting process.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with clinical staff, and requesting additional support as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related concerns, noting hazards and submitting required reports.
