As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a college location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly while living Allied Universal values of integrity, teamwork, agility, reliability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing visitors, and documenting entries as required.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete accurate, timely reports and logs, including observations from patrols, incident details, and follow-up actions in accordance with site requirements.
