About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driving Role in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer service with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements, while supporting a caring, team-focused culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, alarms, suspicious activity and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, directing visitors and/or vendors to the proper destinations and documenting access activity per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, hazards and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
