As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control by screening visitors and vendors, verifying credentials, and documenting entries and exits. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related issues. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting fast response and outstanding customer service.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification, verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining logs, and directing visitors and deliveries to appropriate areas.
• Support dock and yard operations by coordinating driver check-in and check-out, confirming scheduled pickups and deliveries, and communicating access-related information to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, staging areas, parking lots, and the perimeter, and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control equipment as assigned.
