As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity using computer-based tools, and complete clear, timely reports. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering responsive customer service to visitors and team members. Requirements

Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access to the distribution location by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors to the proper check-in process.
Operate the access control post by monitoring entry and exit points, issuing and collecting visitor badges, and maintaining access logs per site requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other access control systems to identify irregular activity and help to deter unauthorized entry and policy violations.
Screen incoming deliveries and outbound shipments as required, including verifying documentation and coordinating with dock personnel on controlled access procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Document daily activities, access events, and incident details in written reports and electronic systems as required.
Support emergency and evacuation procedures by assisting with access point control, traffic flow, and accountability processes as directed by site policy.
Communicate professionally with employees, drivers, and guests to provide directions, answer questions, and support site rules related to access and movement through the location.
