As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and document activity while maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members, drivers, and site staff, supporting a caring culture that puts people first. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, reviewing visitor and contractor requests, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining access logs.
Screen vehicles and drivers at gates and/or checkpoints by confirming appointments and shipping documentation, directing traffic flow, and reporting irregularities per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and documentation of events.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance and security-related concerns.
