As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify identification and badges, monitor activity, and complete routine patrols of assigned areas. You will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering clear communication and customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors. Requirements

Have at least 1 or more years of security experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate to the location.
Staff access control points to help manage the flow of employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers entering and exiting the facility.
Verify identification, check credentials, and/or confirm authorization for entry in accordance with site policies.
Coordinate visitor, contractor, and vendor check-in and check-out, including issuing and collecting badges or passes per site requirements.
Monitor gates, lobbies, docks, and/or other controlled entry areas to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
Operate and monitor access control systems, intercoms, and/or cameras as assigned, and report equipment issues per procedure.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and/or access logs with accurate, timely information.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Assist with traffic flow and dock-area controls during peak shipping and receiving periods, including directing vehicles to designated staging and/or check-in points.
Support security-related screening procedures for packages, vehicles, and/or personnel when required by site policy.
Communicate professionally with location management, operations teams, and/or law enforcement to support incident response and daily operations.
