Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will manage access control, greet drivers and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate entry logs. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a smooth shipping and receiving flow. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures for a logistics and distribution location, including verifying identification and/or processing visitor and vendor check-ins.
  • Control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or loading areas by monitoring credentials, issuing badges when directed, maintaining entry logs, and communicating access issues to site contacts.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and/or access control systems as assigned, and report irregular activity or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including dock areas, parking areas, and exterior entrances, to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related procedures.
