As an armed Security Officer, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. You will represent a caring culture that puts people first, acts with integrity, and delivers through teamwork.

Requirements

• Have 1+ years' armed security/law enforcement/military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or guard shacks by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery documentation, and directing visitors, contractors, and drivers to designated areas.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic, including logging deliveries, checking trailers and/or containers as required, and communicating with site contacts regarding arrivals and departures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established notification and documentation processes.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, loading docks, production-adjacent areas, and exterior fencing, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
