About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Welcome Desk in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Front Desk Officer at a fast-paced financial services location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and maintain accurate lobby logs while providing clear, professional communication. You will help identify and report unusual activity, support incident response, and represent Allied Universal with a caring, people-first approach. You will thrive on teamwork, act with integrity, and bring an agile, reliable, innovative mindset to every shift.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have 6 months or more armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an associates degree or 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Manage the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and/or video surveillance as assigned, and report irregular activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting details, and assisting with follow-up as needed.
  • Complete required reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, access control records, and other administrative tasks associated with the front desk post.
