You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, housing areas, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, directing visitors to proper check-in locations, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and/or other site systems; communicate observations to site leadership and/or responding personnel in a timely manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, unauthorized entry attempts, and/or property damage.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, contraband concerns, and/or unusual conditions; escalate per post orders and maintain chain-of-command communication.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, activity logs, and shift turnover notes with clear, accurate details.
  • Support government facility operations by assisting with controlled movement directions, visitor management, and/or perimeter checks as assigned.
  • Participate in briefings, follow written and verbal post instructions, and maintain readiness to adapt to changing conditions at the location.
  • Use de-escalation and verbal intervention techniques when appropriate, while requesting additional support per procedures.
  • Maintain a professional presence, including maintaining equipment issued for the post, and reporting maintenance needs such as lighting, doors, gates, and/or camera issues.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives regarding ongoing concerns, post coverage needs, and/or follow-up actions.
