Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Courthouse Patrol Driver in New Port Richey, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or armed guard license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties on foot and/or in a vehicle, conducting regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual activity and report concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor and document activity using radios, phones, and electronic systems, complete detailed incident reports, and maintain required logs and records in accordance with site policies.
  • Maintain assigned duty gear and weapons in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable training standards, and post requirements, and follow all applicable use of force guidelines.
