Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Courthouse Patrol Driver in New Port Richey, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and respond to incidents with calm, clear communication. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and armed guard card or license. Requirements

Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess an armed guard card and/or armed guard license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Perform armed patrol duties on foot and/or in a vehicle, conducting regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual activity and report concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
Monitor and document activity using radios, phones, and electronic systems, complete detailed incident reports, and maintain required logs and records in accordance with site policies.
Maintain assigned duty gear and weapons in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable training standards, and post requirements, and follow all applicable use of force guidelines.
