As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff with a caring, customer focused approach, communicate clearly, and document and report concerns with integrity. Requirements
- Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
- Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access concerns, and fire and/or alarm conditions.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, providing directions, and documenting visitor activity in accordance with site requirements.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
