As a Screener with Allied Universal at a controlled-access location, you will help manage entry points by screening visitors, staff, and deliveries, verifying identification, and monitoring for prohibited items. You will maintain a visible presence, document activities, and communicate concerns to site leadership while providing professional customer service. Requirements

• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen people and permitted property at entry points using walkthrough detectors, handheld wands, and/or X-ray and screening equipment in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify identification, confirm authorization to enter, issue visitor credentials as directed, and document entries and denials per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance and/or medical support as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter when assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
