As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting access control and badge processes. You will communicate clearly, document observations using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver a positive customer service experience for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and post orders, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and notifying site leadership as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, lab, and/or campus areas, including building interiors, parking areas, and the perimeter, as assigned by post orders.
  • Monitor and report unusual activity using available tools such as CCTV, access control systems, and radio communications, and complete detailed incident reports and shift logs.
  • Support a technology-focused location by assisting with visitor check-in, verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges per policy, and helping to maintain orderly access to controlled areas.
