As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and deliver customer service through clear, professional communication with students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and/or unsecured doors, then report concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus partners and/or local responders as required by post orders.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and support investigations by preserving observations and reporting details.
