As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist staff, visitors, and guests, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team and site contacts. Requirements
- Must be able to ride a bike.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, grounds, and perimeter points, with working conditions varying by location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications per post orders.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations, helping to deter unwanted activity and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
- Complete required activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
