Job Description As a Security Officer - Bicycle Patrol in Homer Glen, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support employees and visitors with customer-focused service, clear communication, and timely incident reporting. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, lab, and/or campus areas, including building interiors, common areas, and perimeter routes as assigned.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, conditions, and/or policy violations that may help to deter unwanted behavior, documenting observations per post orders.
- Complete shift logs, incident reports, and/or activity reports with clear, timely information while supporting technology-focused workplace operations and visitor management.
