About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bicycle Patrol in Lancaster, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will report concerns, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and document activity with accurate notes. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
• Control access at entrances and designated checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing deliveries to appropriate receiving areas per site policy.
• Complete detailed reports and shift logs on patrol findings, incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
