As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage badge access, greet employees and visitors, and support security-related screening and incident response. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce unwanted activity, and use alarm panels and computer or tablet tools to document activity and communicate clearly. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate for an industrial location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby access points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges and/or passes, managing visitor logs, and directing arrivals to the proper check-in process.
  • Monitor and document vehicle and pedestrian traffic including deliveries and contractor activity, reporting unusual conditions and/or policy exceptions through established site-specific channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting details, and supporting first responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter points, while completing required reports and observations.
