As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams through strong customer service and clear communication. This post requires Level III Armed Certification and a valid driver’s license under AU driver policy requirements. Requirements

• Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years armed security experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including conflicts, medical calls, and/or suspicious activity, and request additional assistance as needed.
• Monitor and report security-related conditions such as unauthorized access, loitering, and/or potential theft activity, and document observations in written reports.
• Carry, handle, and store assigned firearms and other issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable laws and training requirements.
