Security Officer - Armed Rover Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Rover Driver in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will perform mobile patrols and high-visibility presence, respond to alarms and incidents, and document security-related activity with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will carry your armed guard card or license while supporting access control and emergency response. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or hazards.
- Control access by checking identification, authorizations, and/or vehicle credentials, and monitoring entry and exit points according to site requirements.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and observations requiring follow-up, and communicate relevant information to site contacts.
