As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine foot patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to issues with calm professionalism, provide customer service to guests and staff, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Bring an Armed Guard Card and a people-first mindset grounded in integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including suspicious persons, disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms, and request law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity for policy violations, and address concerns using de-escalation techniques and clear verbal communication.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift activity documentation, and communicate notable conditions to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
