Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will leverage strong communication and customer service while documenting activity and partnering with site staff. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and/or requesting medical, law enforcement, or fire response as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions per post orders.
  • Monitor access control points and restricted areas, verifying identification and/or authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate destination per facility guidelines.
  • Complete required security-related reports and logs, including incident reports, shift activity documentation, and chain-of-custody records when applicable.
