Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Patrol in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol professional at a financial institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or concerns, document activity, and deliver standout customer service through clear communication. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first while acting with integrity every shift.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities while assigned to an armed post.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry, loitering and/or disruptive activity.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports and/or shift activity reports, and follow all post orders, use of force guidelines and firearms handling requirements.
