You will maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication and teamwork. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen and verify authorized entry using site access procedures, including checking identification, monitoring entry points, and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Carry assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies, and use sound judgment and de-escalation techniques when addressing confrontations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public agency partners as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting maintenance issues and/or unusual activity.
