As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and unusual activity with calm professionalism. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, provide strong customer service, and document observations and incidents. Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific procedures and access requirements, and/or directing individuals to the appropriate department.
• Conduct armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Support entry screening operations by monitoring checkpoints, verifying identification and authorization, and/or controlling access according to posted policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from local emergency services and/or site contacts as needed.
• Complete reports and logs regarding patrol activity, screening activity, and security-related incidents, and/or communicate observations to site leadership per post orders.
