As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a Level III armed certification if required by Texas law.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any unusual circumstances to the appropriate authorities.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues within the retail environment.
Assist with access control and verify credentials as required for entry to restricted areas.
Document all incidents and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents as they arise.
