As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access points and response activities as needed. This role requires an armed guard card or license and strong, professional communication. Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Patrol designated areas on foot and/or by vehicle to help to deter unwanted activity, monitor for unusual conditions, and verify doors, gates, and restricted areas are secured according to site procedures.
• Maintain readiness and proper handling of assigned firearm and other issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with local law enforcement and/or onsite personnel as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
